The Bahamas is divided into three cruising areas: North, Central and South. The North cruising area consists of Grand Bahama and the Abacos islands with Freeport being the central boarding point. The Central crusing area consists of the Biminis, Berrys, Eleuthera and New Providence islands with Nassau, the capitol of the Bahamas being the central boarding point. The Southern Bahamas consist of the Exuma and out islands with Georgetown being the central boarding point.These destinations can be mixed with each other as these island groups are close to each other but from northwest to southeast the Bahamas extend over 800 miles with over 700 islands!
